Noise pollution

It's called noise (or noise pollution ) to excessive sound that disrupts normal ambient conditions in a given area . While noise does not accumulate , moved or maintained over time as other pollutants , can also cause extensive damage to the quality of life of people if not handled well or adequately .
The term " noise " refers to noise (defined as excessive and annoying sound ) caused by human activities (traffic , industry , entertainment , aircraft, etc. . ) , Which produces negative effects on hearing , physical health and mind of living beings .
This term is closely related to the noise because this is when the noise is regarded as a contaminant , ie , an annoying sound that may produce physiological and psychological adverse effects on a person or group of people.
The main causes of noise pollution are those related to human activities such as transport , construction of buildings and civil engineering , industries , among others.
It has been said by international organizations , which run the risk of a significant decline in hearing and the possibility of disorders ranging from the psychological ( paranoia, perversion ) to the physiological by excessive exposure to noise pollution .
A report by the World Health Organization (WHO ) considers 70 dB ( a) , as the desirable upper limit.
In Spain , it is set as the level of acoustic comfort db_ 55 {a } . Above this level , the sound is harmful for relaxation and communication.
According to studies by the European Union ( 2005): " 80 million people are exposed daily to environmental noise levels above 65 db_ {a } and another 170 million, are at levels between 55-65 db_ {a } '.
